Product Description

Stylish and affordable, the Deluxe Universal lets you create a divan to suit your needs with a choice of base depths and a selection of leg types.

It comes with a wide assortment of fabrics and colours, from contemporary faux suedes and crushed velvets to traditional weaves and velvets.

It’s set up as a standard platform top base, but should you require something more substantial, you can upgrade to a robust reinforced model.

The base is supplied with screw in fixings should you wish to add a headboard and a non-slip top surface to ensure your mattress stays in place.

The bed is the perfect height when topped by our deep mattress.

Unfortunately the base is bigger than my mattress - squarer corners - so the cheap looking fabric that tops the base can be seen and looks ugly. A shame the velvet doesn’t wrap onto the top a little.

Will need to put an old fashioned valance over the base so you won’t see the lovely velvet.

Having found exactly the bed base we were looking for, at an excellent price, but being in Sussex, meant we couldn’t visit an Archers store to look at it. Had an on line chat with Kirstie, who answered all the questions we had, so went ahead and ordered it on line. We were kept informed of the delivery process at all stages. It was delivered today. We purchased a set of two Euro Single Universal Divan Bases which fit together to form a Super King bed in Silver Faux Suede. The Divan bases are well manufactured with excellent craftsmanship and aesthetically pleasing to the eye. In addition, the bases make absolutely no noise when we lie on the bed, indicating solid construction. We opted for the 4-drawer option for additional storage, and the drawers are easy to open and glide smoothly. We also highly recommend the Harber floor standing headboards as these add significant sturdiness to the entire bed, as well as being very comfortable to lean on when reading.

I had chosen sliders rather than casters, with a little misgiving as I had not had any before. They were simple to plug in to the base and look much better than casters. The bed base came in two halves, which had to be connected together. Not a problem. And the result is a problem solved!!

I was upset as the bed did not arrive on the chosen day. It did however come the following day. There was a small nick, which looked like a scissor cut in the base, but you would have to look hard to see it. It can be covered with a valance so no worries.
