A zip and link mattress is basically two extra long singles with zips along the inside of its border, allowing you to use them as a 6ft mattress or twin singles. Choose from traditional open coil mattresses, to mid range pocket spring models or treat yourself to a luxurious pocket spring mattress with natural fillings.

What are the main benefits and advantages of a zipped mattress?

The obvious one is it gives you the option to zip the mattresses together to make a 6ft super king size, but you also have the option to separate them into 2 extra-long single mattresses and use them as twin singles, if it's not a couple that's using them.Zipped mattresses are also a practical solution for those who want a super king size mattress for the master bedroom, but have an awkward or tight staircase for a one-piece mattress, as it will be delivered as two separate mattresses to be zipped together.

Are zipped mattresses different from standard one-piece mattresses?

Other than the fact they come as two separate mattresses, the make-up and feel is just the same as a standard size of the same model.

What types of zip and link mattresses are available?

Open Coil - Robust and durable, traditional open coil springs are set out in rows running from head to toe and connected at the top and bottom by a series of spiral wires.

Pocket Spring - Housed in their individual cloth sleeves, pocket spring are totally independent of any neighbouring springs, resulting in piston-like support where you need it most.

Are zipped mattresses expensive?
