Manufacturer History
Dunlopillo latex was invented by EA Murphy in early 1929 as part of a research project taking place at Fort Dunlop in Birmingham.
Starting life as the first foam ever created, Mr Murphy worked tirelessly before achieving the correct latex foam consistency with his wife’s cake mixer!
Now, in 2011, Dunlopillo is the leading name in latex foam mattresses with innovative technology like the Harmonise and TempSmart systems.
