It’s a small, family oriented business with a large showroom housing over 70 beds plus an online catalogue to browse. The staff on site are more than equipped to deal with any difficult questions that may arise, and help you choose a bed or mattress to suit you.

Delivery

Free delivery is applied to all deliveries over £200 and all deliveries in the L36 postcode area.

Refunds are available as long as proof of purchase is provided and goods are returned in perfect condition with all original packaging. Delivery notification is available on request. Next day delivery is available for selected items in stock.

Delivery

Delivery times can vary from 2-28 days depending on the level of stock available, however The Bed Shed Direct strive to get your new purchase to you as quickly and efficiently as possible.

The minimum delivery charge is £19.95 but all orders over £399 are delivered free of charge. If, for whatever reason, you are unhappy with your delivered purchase you can return the goods in their original packaging within 28 days and be issued with a full refund less delivery and excess charges.

Tesco has been one of the UK’s favourite supermarkets for many years but in recent times has expanded its offering beyond the traditional groceries.

It is now known for stocking clothing, household appliances, furniture and not forgetting a wide range of beds, giving customers a large choice and value for money.

With 3,700 stores across the globe, Tesco is one of the UK’s biggest retailers, with operations spanning as far as South Korea and China.

When arranging bed delivery from Tesco, customers will be charged a standard rate of £5 that is applied to all large items. They will be given the opportunity to choose a delivery slot when they place their order for the maximum convenience.

Should the item be delivered by a supplier, a date will not be supplied at this time, but a member of the team will be in touch once it has been arranged. The same is applicable to customers living in Northern Ireland or outlying parts of the UK, where special arrangements will have to be made.

Someone from Tesco will be in touch about bed delivery to confirm the date and allocate a maximum four-hour time slot. Furthermore, a team member will be in touch on the day to confirm everything is in place for the goods to be delivered quickly and safely.

Should the delivery van get delayed, Tesco will be in touch with the customer to let them know this is the case.

Sleepright is relatively new to the bed selling industry, as it has been in the market for around two years.

It is part of the Carpet right brand and is aiming to increase its number of UK bed shops considerably over the coming months. This bed retailer currently has around 120 stores across the country, although hopes this figure will be nearer 200 by the end of 2010.

This particular UK bed shop claims to be one of the first to have created products using visco technology, which is now widely used for memory foam mattresses and bed linen. Despite being one of the newcomers to the market, Sleepright has nevertheless made an impression on the bed buying industry.

Sleepright offers delivery across the majority of the UK, with the exception of some outlying islands such as Shetland and Skye. Every order made through this UK bed shop is sent direct from the national distribution centre at a time that is suited to the customer.

Once the order has been received at the centre, a member of Sleepnight’s booking team will be in touch to arrange a date for delivery, as well as specifying either a morning or afternoon slot. The delivery people will then call an hour before arriving at the property to ensure the customer will be in.

Furthermore, the team will help assemble any goods purchased from Sleepnight and will take away any extra unwanted packaging for recycling.

Some items are eligible for fast-track 48-hour delivery, which will incur an extra charge.
