Sleepright – sell the cheapest memory foam mattresses?

Sleepright promote themselves as the memory foam specialists. Are they?

Most people would argue that the two leading UK memory foam mattress manufacturers are Kaymed and Tempur. Yes, I know Kaymed are Irish, and Tempur are Scandinavian – but what do you want me to say -  British Vitafoam?

And unless I’m mistaken Sleepright offer neither Tempur or Kaymed products. It would be better to say that Sleepright offer a range of memory foam beds that distinguish themselves by price. Which is a fair retailing strategy except that people don’t buy visco elastic memory foam because its cheap. It’s expensive. If you are going to buy an Omega watch, you do want the best price but you do want an Omega!

So I am pleased to announce the lowest cost memory foam mattress in the UK – from Kaymed! And about to hit our Archers Sleepcentre shop floors any day. Of course we have always retailed a low cost memory foam mattress that competed head on with Sleepright. However this Kaymed mattress, to be called the Memory 2500, not just competes on price, it’s also the dogs bollocks.
