Feather and Black NBF Internet Retailer 2012
I read in The Interiors Monthly this week that Feather and Black had won the National Bed Federation (NBF) “e-tailer” of the year award 2012.
“Wow” I thought. Despite me trawling through the internet for hours and hours and hours, for years and years and years (at least 3) I hadn’t noticed Feather and Black. Of course we have a Feather and Black Bed store opposite our Great Western Road Glasgow bed shop, so I knew of them – just wasn’t aware they were a top e-tailer.
So congratulations are due! And it has given us other bed retailers pause for thought.
We have made every mistake we thought was achievable in our internet retailing and were just thinking we had finally got the hang of it. And now to see the Feather and Black website so beautifully designed with great functionality and recognised now not just as a big bed retailer on the high street but also a top retailer on the web – only what we have been trying to achieve. We must try harder!
I am pleased however that we have representation on our site for iron beds, one of Feather and Black bed specialist areas. I’m not sure either of us mean iron btw, but at least in the style of an iron bed though the materials are usually rust free alloy metal beds. Our prices are great, we offer a wide choice with next day delivery and delivery is free.
These are expectations that some customers have in 2012. I am pleased that Feather and Black can win business with long lead times and delivery charges – for of course there is no “free delivery bed” fairy. And holding stock of beds for next day delivery isn’t cheap either.
That there is more than one way to bed retail is heartening. Congratulations once again, and I will add Feather and Black to my ever growing list of excellent bed web sites on my favourites list.
