They import a lot of goods from abroad but maintain a commitment to ethical sourcing. This includes using sustainable raw materials such as Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) approved timber.
Dwell’s clearance stores sell on damaged furniture as opposed to disposing of it as waste. All of their ranges include contemporary, traditional and modern styles to suit everyone’s personal tastes.
Shop History
Starting in 2003, Dwell began by selling furniture out of a small store in London. They have since grown to 20 stores spread throughout the UK.
With a massive warehouse in Milton Keynes, they carry the majority of their ranges as stock items. This means the goods can be dispatched to you quickly, without waiting weeks for them to arrive by order.
All of their products can be purchased either online, over the phone or in store. The collections are constantly growing and Dwell continues to branch out into new ranges, bringing you the best quality and best value furniture on a daily basis.
Not far from Royal Leamington Spa and Dudley, the Solihull store offers nearby access to a showroom where value and quality can be appreciated in person.
Another innovative system that Dwell has in place is their out of stock email system. You can set up a notification so that you receive an email when the goods are back in stock. However, this does not secure the product for you, it is simply a notification.
Delivery
Collections are of course free, but otherwise the delivery charge is £39. Deliveries go to all major UK cities, but there is a surcharge for outlying areas. They take place every day of the week and the lead time you can expect on your order is 5-7 days.
Smaller items arrive by courier within 5 days. They do not have a specified delivery day and therefore can arrive any day of the week.
Dwell use an in-house delivery team so as to provide you with the highest standard of service. They want to accommodate your needs; therefore they’ll call customers on the day of delivery to keep you updated.
The drivers will also wait if you have popped out for a minute because they hate leaving ‘missed you’ cards. Furniture shops like this are one of a kind and this level of service is certainly rare to be seen.
