Deluxe Beds Huddersfield
We visited Deluxe Beds in Huddersfield this week and I’m not sure I should be telling the world about this great Bed Company.
It has become my unwritten prejudice that when a bed company invests in expensive machinery prices go up, service goes down, and faulty product goes through the roof. And how do you address the problem of over investing and under thinking bed companies? Go scouting for beds in Batley!
And here is where a gem like Deluxe Beds is found. A company that sticks to its knitting. No million pound plastic bagging machines, no super-duper, fancy-fangled spring machines, no clever robots doing the Mona Lisa in 20 seconds flat. Deluxe Beds made me whimper with delight. Honest work, diligently performed.
Of course prejudices against managers who think NPV (net present value) is a new 4 wheel drive people carrier don’t necessarily lead to good bed buying decisions.
The proof of the pudding is the products, and Deluxe showed me products to blow me away. Beautiful beds, well constructed and well priced. We are trialling the Memory Flex, Savoy Latex and Memory Elite Deluxe King Size Pocket 1000 mattresses. Paul Longmore, our Archers bed guru, like the man from Del Monte, tried them, tested them, and said yes.
And let me tell you. When Paul says these mattresses are good, these mattresses are good! Deluxe mattresses indeed. I think they are brilliant. I’m sure every bed shop in Huddersfield has them. Now we do too.
So if there is any justice in the world, companies such as Deluxe Beds will continue to prosper.
