Burgess Beds: Bed and Mattress Review
Manufacturer History
Established as a limited company in 1955, after its birth in 1927 by creator Harry Burgess, this family run business has supplied hand crafted beds and mattresses to homes across the UK, as well as hotels and even shipping liners.
The most notable liner supplied by Burgess Beds was The Manchester Miller, built in 1959 and measuring almost 470ft.
The ship had Burgess very own pocket spring mattresses on board, sailing the seas in absolute style and comfort!
Ever since, Burgess Beds have went from strength to strength, giving customers the highest level of customer service possible, including a 10 year guarantee with every single mattress, they are that confident in their workmanship.
Burgess Beds now supply a number of High Street retailers and independent bed and mattress outlets.

The beauty of Burgess Beds is that it’s a bespoke bed and mattress company. That means you can get a base, frame or mattress completely tailor made for you in the factory, by a highly trained craftsman.

The divan base with optional storage (Ottoman base optional), and a selection of either suede or leather upholstery is both chic and sturdy, ensuring you get the best wear out of the bed and mattress.
The headboard is extra large with diamond quilted panels, for that extra touch of sumptuous luxury. This bed would not look out of place in a 5 star hotel!
The Burgess Apollo mattress is a pocketed spring mattress covered in stretch insulator material.
The mattress is filled with latex coir fibre, loose wool, polyester fibres and layers of super comfy visco elastic memory foam.
