Below are some of the organisations already involved.
Based in Kilmarnock, Ayrshire Gymnastics cater for gymnasts all over East, North and South Ayrshire. They train from Monday to Saturday at the judo hall in Kilmarnock and their gymnasts range from 18 months to 18 years old. A safe and child friendly club, Ayrshire Gymnastics have been accredited with the 'GymMark' status from governing bodies; Scottish and British Gymnastics.
Formed in 1962, Bishopbriggs Tennis Club are an open, friendly organization with over 100 members. They offer a wide range of coaching from an LTA qualified professional including adult beginner sessions and junior sessions from 5 years old upwards. There is a strong social aspect to the club with club events at least once a month. New members are always welcome.
Chalkys Gymnastics Club
Founded in 2012, Chalky`s Gymnastics Club, offer professionally tutored gymnastics for children of all ages. Club members can participate in both fun and competitive gymnastic activities under the guidance of British Gymnastics qualified coaches. Chalky`s operate an open philosophy and encourage and value parental involvement. Classes take place at their fully equipped centre in Stirling, Scotland.
Founded in 2006 by Robert Fox, Croftfoot United is an established community football club based in the south side of Glasgow. The club are accredited by the SYFA at a Development Level and hold a Glasgow Life Chartermark. Their teams play within the East Renfrewshire and Glasgow & District Leagues. New members are always welcome.
Formed in 2009, Cumbernauld Centurians provide a safe, exciting environment for local children to learn BMX and practice good bike handling. It is a family friendly club where everyone can get involved, from the beginner to the experienced circuit racer. Bicycle Motorsport Racing is a fun, action packed and fun sport that promotes health and wellbeing.
Cumbernauld Swimming Club
An integral part of the local community, Cumbernauld Swimming Club offer a fun way to improve your child`s swimming skills and make new friends. Founded in 1964, the club provide a high level of qualified expertise ensuring each and every member reaches their full potential. They have now established themselves as one of the top swimming clubs in Scotland.
Discover Swimming provides a well established and successful Learn to Swim Programme based on 20 years experience for all ages, from babies to adults. Their small class sizes with the instructor in the water for the duration of the lessons allow for very individualised instruction. They have venues across Scotland, including Stirling, Glasgow, Aberdeen, Dundee and Edinburgh.
Dumfries Blues Netball
Established in 2007, Dumfries Blues Netball Club provide netball training and competitions for women and girls in Dumfries and Galloway. The club competes in the Carlisle Netball League along with Scottish Cup Matches for junior and senior teams. This is a friendly and welcoming club, new members are always encouraged.
Dumfries Amateur Swimming Club
Founded in 1964, Dumfries Amateur Swimming Club offer ability appropriate training to swimmers from 8 years and upwards. Qualified coaches aim to promote and develop the ability of all members. This friendly and highly successful club offers youngsters a great way to have fun, get fit, make new friends and learn exciting new skills.
Dumfries Wado-Ryu Karate Club
Dumfries Wado-Ryu Karate Club teaches traditional Wado-Ryu karate to children of five years and above. The club emphasis is for the young students to have fun and the older ones to push themselves to achieve greater fitness and improvement of technique. Based in Dumfries, this is the perfect club for enjoyment, recreation, socialising and competition.
East Kilbride Amateur Athletics Club
EKAC have been providing an athletics service for the town of East Kilbride since 1959. We are based at the John Wright Sport Centre and we cater for Track and Field, Road Running, Cross Country and Hill Running for all ages from 8 upwards.
East Kilbride Gymnastics Club
EKGC are a competitive club who provide affordable gymnastics classes to the East Kilbride area. Their qualified coaches are dedicated to the development of each child`s gymnastics skills, ensuring every member reaches their full potential. EKGC have acrobatic, artistic and general gymnastics sections as well as a very successful display team.
Falkirk Company of Archers
Founded in 1971 by a group of local enthusiasts, Falkirk Company of Archers continues to attract a keen and active membership. The club supports participation across a wide-range of age groups and physical capabilities. They aim to accommodate everyone, offering a dedicated training programme for beginners or competitive archery for those with experience.
Falkirk Victoria Harriers
Falkirk Victoria Harriers cater for runners and athletes of all ages and abilities. The club regularly participate in competitions and athletics leagues around Scotland, including track and field, road running and cross-country. Training groups are based within the Falkirk district and new members are always welcome.
Glasgow Girls FC
Glasgow Girls FC are now in their sixth year and have girls teams at under 7s,9s,11s,12s,13s,15s,17s and a Women’s Teams competing in Scottish Women’s Football League division-1. The club are a registered Scottish charity and the only football club in Glasgow to hold the SFA Community Quality Mark they also have Glasgow Life’s “Get Active” quality mark as well.
I-Kick Fitness are a revolutionary martial arts and well-being club based in Glasgow, Scotland. The club specialises in martial arts for children, teenagers and adults. In addition, they provide first class nutritional and well-being advice for all. Ross and his team, pride themselves on being a very family orientated club who create an exciting and friendly atmosphere.
JAM School of Dance
Established in 2003. the Jam School of Dance and Cheer have schools in Giffnock, Newton Mearns and East Kilbride. All classes are taught in a safe environment and in a structured manner. The Jam encourage all dancers to challenge themselves with new skills, building new friendships and improving their self confidence every step of the way.
Kilwinning Sports Club
Kilwinning Sports Club Football Youth Section is a community, non profit, all volunteer organization in Scotland. Their mission is to provide quality recreation and skill development in the game of football for all youths in the local area for age groups 5-17 year olds. As well as building confidence, the club teaches children the importance of sportsmanship, teamwork and accountability.
Established in 1897, the Larkhall YMCA Harriers are a small and welcoming athletics club who offer training sessions for children of 9 years and above. Club members regularly take part in events from small club races to national cross country championships. Whether you want to improve your fitness, race times or just have some fun, the Harriers are the club for you.
Law and District Athletics

North Lanarkshire Titans Basketball Club
The idea for North Lanarkshire Titans and Above the Rim Basketball Club was started by Founder, John Mitchell – for years and years John felt football was the priority sport to learn within Scotland; football clubs, soccer centres; development classes – there wasn’t much out there for anyone keen in playing basketball. Working along side activeschools (North Lanarkshire), John managed to make more of a name for basketball within his local area – he spearheaded school competitions for primary and secondary pupils on behalf of activeschools and went around as many schools and took extra-curricular clubs to promote the game! Having done thorough research and saw there was a huge following for a local basketball club.
In 2000, Kilmarnock TAGB was re-opened under the Phoenix Taekwondo label. This is a professional club that boasts world, European and British champions. The club offers first-class taekwondo instruction, taught by experienced, fully qualified instructors. This is a great way to build your child`s confidence. Classes are tailored for children from three years old and above.
Planet Cheer consists of three competitive All-Star Cheerleading squads in Dunblane, Stirling and Edinburgh in Central Scotland. The club teaches children the importance of exercise and promotes self confidence. However, their main aim is to make cheerleading a fun and positive activity. New members are always welcome at this friendly club.
Scottish Indoor Bowling Association
SIBA is the administrative body for the game of indoor bowls in Scotland. The association aims to promote the game in Scotland and to act in the best interests of club members. SIBA conducts and controls all National Competitions and Championships. SIBA supports the health and welfare of children and vulnerable adults by proving the opportunity for them to take part.
Soccerstarts is an Edinburgh based football training programme for children from walking age to 5 years. In the classes, children learn to be comfortable with a football and practice age appropriate drills. The club focus on individual skills and as their classes involve parent participation it gives the children the confidence and encouragement to develop.
Sokcho Taekwondo Glasgow
Sokcho Taekwondo Glasgow aim to provide top quality taekwondo instruction to anyone of any age and ability with a willingness to learn. All members have access to internationally recognised grades and for the competitive students there is access to national and international level competitions. New members, beginners and advanced are always welcome at this family-friendly club.
Stirling and Falkirk Canoe Club
Stirling and Falkirk Canoe Club cater for those of all abilities - ranging from first-timers to British champions, and of all ages. The club have two sessions per week at which qualified coaches are in attendance. SFCC has a busy activity calendar throughout with many trips and training courses. The perfect club for both beginners and experts.
Stirling Knights Basketball Club
Stirling Knights Basketball Club was launched September 2009 and are based at the The Peak Sports Village in Stirling. The club is affiliated with Basketball Scotland, and fully supported by Active Stirling and Sportscotland. They have an Under 14 development squad for both boys and girls as well as an Under 16 Boys National League team.
Stirling Swimming Club
Stirling Swimming was established in 1976 and they are among Scotland's best swimming clubs having produced many outstanding swimmers over the years. The Club is affiliated to the Scottish Amateur Swimming Association and competes within the West District. They welcome swimmers keen to develop their talents, whether at starting level or at a more advanced stage.
Taekwondo Scotland, officially known as The British Taekwondo Control Board (Scotland) was founded in April 1992 as the official Scottish branch of The British Taekwondo Control Board. Their aim is to provide information about Scottish clubs, to inform members of their objectives and to keep them updated with the latest news and upcoming events.
Tennis Central Scotland
Tennis Central Scotland is the district tennis association for the Scotland`s Central Regional Area. It is affiliated to both Tennis Scotland, which is Scotland`s National Tennis Association and to the North of Scotland County. The association provides essential information on playing, coaching and tournaments.
