Silentnight, the UK’s leading bed manufacturer have introduced ‘PocketZing’, a unique advanced pocket spring technology.
The Almond mattress boasts 7 cleverly zoned areas that support different areas of the body in different ways.
Standard pocket springs are usually linked together in long fabric chains; however the Pocket Zing springs are completely independent from their neighbours.
The zones comprise of firm springs providing extra support for the head and neck with softer springs offering a gentler support for your shoulders.
Firm springs support your upper back and waist with medium springs taking care of your lower back and hips.
This gives you truly personalised body-contouring, eliminating any areas of pressure that may cause tossing and turning or aches and pains that are the main causes of sleep disturbance.
The result is your spine is supported in its natural position throughout the night, so that it can recover from the rigours of the day.
To overcome a common problem of overheating, Silentnight have designed a unique ‘breathable airflow border’. This allows air to pass through the mattress border, keeping the bed cool and helping you maintain a comfortable body temperature.
Silentnight have incorporated a new pro-biotic treatment, Purotex, into the mattress fabric. It’s a friendly bacterium that reacts to body pressure and quickly multiplies to outnumber and replace any harmful bacteria in the bed.
The friendly bacteria reduce mould and moisture, keeping dust-mites at bay and reducing allergens for a drier, fresher and healthier bed.
The Almond, at 29cm deep, is a substantial mattress and is one-sided which means it does not require to be turned over. However, we do recommend that you rotate it regularly form head to toe.
