The Prestige Support firm mattress is a perfect example of their high standards and is our entry level Sealy mattress.
The mattress is upholstered in a hard wearing Belgian damask cover with a ‘hand tufted’ finish for extra strength and durability.
Tufting is a process of nylon tapes passed through the mattress at regular intervals and secured on each side. This pre-tensions the mattress to give it a firmer feel and ensures the fillings stay in place.
It features Sealy’s zero deflection spring system which is robust, very supportive and designed in conjunction with orthopaedic surgeons. The zero deflection spring system helps eliminate uncomfortable pressure points by distributing weight away from the heaviest parts of our bodies.
By using an ‘offset’ spring design with its unique independent hinge action, Sealy have created a mattress that literally profiles the sleeper’s body.
The mattress has been specially designed to be single sided (non-turn) which means that it does not need to be turned over. However, we do recommend that you rotate it from top to bottom.
The mattress offers a firm support, but if you want a bit of extra comfort, take a look at the Prestige Support Regular mattress. Same support, just a softer feel.
