Micro quilting sews the outer damask cover to the top layers creating a quilted pattern that covers the whole sleeping surface. This results in less upholstery movement avoiding any lumps appearing in the mattress.
The mattress offers a firm support, thanks to its robust open-coil spring unit, also known as a Bonnell spring system. Open coil spring are very hard-wearing and made up of rows of hourglass shaped springs connected at the top and bottom by a spiral wire, known as a helical wire.
The mattress border is strengthened by a thick, rod-edge wire that adds support to the perimeter of the mattress, avoiding border breakdown.
