The Eclipse mattress, at 26cm deep is substantial and robust and is upholstered in a quality Belgian damask cover, a hard wearing and durable fabric.
The mattress has a micro quilted finish which sews the outer damask cover to the top layers creating a quilted pattern that covers the whole sleeping surface. This results in less upholstery movement avoiding any lumps appearing in the mattress.
The mattress has a medium support open coil spring unit, also known as a Bonnell spring. The spring unit is made up of rows of hourglass shaped springs connected at the top and bottom by a spiral wire, known as the helical wire.
The edge of the spring unit is strengthened by a rod-edge wire that supports the outside of the springs and helps prevent border breakdown.
