Bought this as an upgrade from our small double bed when the mattress needed replacing a couple of months ago. I prefer the look of wooden beds, but my wife convinced me to go for a metal frame (which she prefers). I don't regret it; the frame has an attractive but subtle design, and doesn't creak at all (which was one of my reservations about metal frames). My only problem is that the sprung slats don't provide as much support as the solid slats that I'm used to, but it seems the sprung type is what is generally provided with metal frames.[...]
