The Solar Backcare double mattress is firm and supportive and upholstered in a Belgian damask cover with a micro quilted finish. It’s a good mattress for a budget price.

Micro quilting sews the outer damask cover to the top layers creating a quilted pattern that covers the whole sleeping surface.

This results in less upholstery movement avoiding any lumps appearing in the mattress.

It has an open coil spring unit, also known as a Bonnell spring that offers a firm support for your body.

Open coil spring units are made up of rows of hourglass shaped springs connected at the top and bottom by a spiral wire, known as a helical wire.

To avoid border breakdown the edge of the spring unit is strengthened by a thick, rod-edge wire that adds support to the perimeter of the mattress.
