It has an open coil spring unit, also known as a Bonnell spring system. It is made up of rows of hourglass shaped springs connected at the top and bottom by a spiral wire, known as a helical wire.
The border is strengthened by a thick rod-edge wire that reinforces and supports the perimeter of the mattress.
