The Leanne adjustable bed features one of our deepest fill mattresses with 50mm of visco elastic memory foam, pocket springs and generous layers of upholstery.

The mattress is covered in a soft knitted stretch fabric which incorporates Outlast technology that helps regulate body temperature.

The Leanne is our softest electric adjustable bed and highly recommended for the frail and infirm.

Note that the headboard, which is especially high to allow for the raising of the head end, is an optional extra and is not included in the price.

How does Outlast work?  A recent survey showed that 39% of people in the UK suffer from overheating at night. If you regularly toss and turn at night, throw the covers off, or stick a leg out to cool down you are likely to sleep better with Outlast technology. It has the ability to absorb, store and release body heat. It responds to changes in temperature by absorbing heat when it gets too warm, storing it, and then releasing it back when you need it.

What are the benefits of visco elastic memory foam?  Memory foam is designed to contour to your body shape and weight providing comfort, total body support and pressure relief. It moulds itself to the sleeper’s body shape, reducing pressure points, improving blood circulation and resulting in less tossing and turning throughout the night.

Why are pocket springs better?  Pocket springs are totally independent, each in its own fabric pocket so the load on one spring doesn’t affect the one next to it. The springs provide piston-like support to each part of the sleeper’s body. This allows the mattress to contour perfectly to your body shape. Spring counts are always based on a standard king size and the Leanne has 1000 (a standard mattress only has 325) offering excellent support and comfort.

What are the benefits of an adjustable base?  They have the ability to elevate and adjust the head and foot end separately or together to whatever comfort level you require. The 5 way hinged mechanisms can change position within seconds at the push of a button to provide a healthy posture, pressure relief and proper circulation. The head end can be raised to a sitting position to assist you getting in and out of bed. The base also features a flexible sprung shoulder zone and sliders for lumber adjustment providing the upmost comfort and relaxation.

VAT relief:  If you have a chronic medical condition that can be alleviated by an adjustable bed then you need not pay VAT.  We ask you to submit to us a signed, self certification VAT relief form (we can e mail or post you a blank copy) and then we can refund you the VAT.

Chronic condition?  By chronic we mean a condition that will not go away, e.g. a broken leg wouldn't count but heart conditions (circulatory problems), arthritis, fluid retention, chronic back pain would all qualify.
