The Kaymed Torino mattress is a combination of traditional craftsmanship and the latest innovations in mattress manufacturing. A mix of 1800 individual pocket springs, 25mm of 85Kgm3 memory foam and a 45mm luxury layer of polymer gel. The gel is in the centre section with 60Kgm3 memory foam at the top and bottom. The gel layer creates a “massage effect” and stimulates the skin during sleep giving the user an overnight massage.
The polymer gel layer moves with you to match your body contours in a soft, fluid manner, creating a light massage effect by instantly relieving body pressure. “Crush effect” walls of gel respond instantaneously to pressure, forming to body shape as soon as a person lies on it. The gel layer soothes aches and pains and retains coolness for longer so you feel fresher and more comfortable– perfect for drifting off to sleep.
So how does the memory foam work? Kaymed are the world’s leading memory foam specialists and are at the forefront of sleep technology due to the fact that the memory foam they use is unique to them and manufactured to their own innovative specifications. Memory foam moulds itself to the sleeper’s body shape and conforms perfectly to your body contours reducing the overall pressure placed on your joints. This is done by contouring them without pushing back against them. This eliminates all pressure points, creating better blood circulation and resulting in less tossing and turning by evenly distributing your body weight.
The foundation of the mattress is the spring system. Pocket springs are totally independent, each in its own fabric pocket so the load on one spring doesn’t affect the one next to it. This allows the mattress to contour perfectly to your body shape. With 1800 individually pocketed springs in a king size mattress (a standard mattress only has 325), this model gives excellent individual comfort and support.
