Flat Packed Bedroom Furniture

Fully Assembled Bedroom Furniture

At Archers we show a comprehensive range of flat packed and fully assembled bedroom furniture. Bedside cabinets, chest of drawers and wardrobes are the staple necessities of any bedroom and we have the best priced options available.

Oak, beech, white painted and pine are our most popular bedroom furniture collections. However darker finishes are becoming more popular, especially teak and mahogany effects. They are certainly worth a look....

We show a wide range of bedroom suites suitable for children and guest bedrooms. Gleneagle and Julian Bowen ranges are particularly good value.

One of our most popular furniture pieces are extra wide modern beech wardrobes from Rauch. These wardrobes are huge and need to be assembled in the bedroom.

Don't be put off by these self assembly wardrobes. Nowadays there are many local handymen advertising assembly services. A typical charge is £50 and when you see how cheap these wide wardrobes are to buy you will still make a huge saving over bespoke built in wardrobes.

Note that we also have bed frames for sale to match many of our bedside cabinets and chests of drawers.

The environment around you can have an effect on how well you sleep and the time it takes you to drop off. Several publications have been referenced by the Sleep Research Centre about how external influences such as daylight or noise can impact upon sleep quality.

Certainly the bedroom should be a sanctuary and you will find it easier to sleep in a calm, clear place than a cluttered or mismatched one that will only make you feel stressed when you are inside it.

If you choose your bedroom furniture with care, you may find that, as well as providing you with storage space, it helps to create an atmosphere of serenity that will aid your sleeping patterns.

Bedside cabinets, wardrobes and chests of drawers are typically the items of furniture you would be looking at. Generally, they are available in sets, so you can make sure that they all match each other.

Pale colours are thought to be more relaxing and there is a trend for relatively light finishes. Pine bedroom furniture is one popular option that meets this requirement.

You might like cupboards, chests of drawers and stools with a traditional antique lacquered finish. However, if you want your colours even lighter, while retaining the sturdiness of solid pine bedroom furniture, you may wish to choose something painted in white.

Beech bedroom furniture

Another fair-coloured wood is beech. Generally it has a lighter appearance than pine but still boasts the attractive wooden rings that give it a classic style.

Not all beech bedroom furniture is the same shade, however, and you may find something slightly darker if you think this suits the room better than the darkest wood.

Beech is also well suited to being a mirror frame.

Oak bedroom furniture

For something solid, strong and beautiful, oak is widely regarded as a good investment. It is generally more expensive than pine, though cheaper than mahogany.

Oak bedroom furniture, however, can be relied upon to be durable and long-lasting, so you might decide that it is worth the extra expense. It can also have a heavier look than pine or beech, which may suit people who want their bedroom furniture to make a statement in the room.

Oak is also suited to more curved edges, which is a contemporary look for furnishings.

White bedroom furniture

If you want your furnishings to be as pale as possible, Archers can offer a range of white bedroom furniture to keep your room looking as light and calm as it can.

The beauty of white is that it will go with almost any colour and also creates the illusion of space.

If you like the idea of white bedroom furniture but fear that it will make the room look too sterile, do not be put off. Choose furniture with texture and detail and add some splashes of warmer colours, such as yellow, throughout the room and it will keep some liveliness.

Pine bedroom furniture

Solid pine furniture is a cost effective way to furnish your bedroom. Sturdy and hard wearing, the maritime wood that is used in a lot of our pine products is virtually knot free.

The higher end ranges feature dovetail joints and come in a lacquered finish. This upgrades both the functionality and the appearence of the furniture.

Choose Archers

It is not just beds and bed frames and accessories that Archers provides. It can also help you find a set of bedroom furniture to complement your sleeping space and allow you to store your possessions away, leaving the room clear and well co-ordinated to make you sleep more soundly.

The Sleep Council recommends that you make yourself a "restful sleeping environment" to help you sleep better. A clear, well co-ordinated bedroom furnished by Archers can help you to achieve this.
